Get Around Amsterdam is a small, first-hand guide to the city - the courtyards behind unmarked doors, the neighbourhoods worth the tram ride, the plan that holds up when it starts to rain.
It is written by Dirck Mulder, who lives here. Every guide is walked and checked in person before it goes up. There are no recycled top-ten lists and no paid placements.
About the photographs
Every photo on the site is a real picture of the place it sits next to - sourced from Wikimedia Commons under free licences and credited to its photographer. Where a trustworthy photo of a specific spot doesn't exist, that section stays text-only rather than carry a misleading image.
